Ogle airport says ‘fully’ compliant with COVID-19 protocols to re-open Wednesday

The Eugene F. Correia International Airport (EFCIA) at Ogle on Tuesday assured that all COVID-19 protocols are in place for it to accept international flights once again. The airport is scheduled to be reopened on Wednesday.

In a statement, the airport said an onsite meeting was held at the Airport’s International Terminal with officials of the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority, the Ministry of Health, Eureka Medical Laboratory and the Chairman and Management of the airport. It was intended to review the arrangements in place for the opening of the Airport to international commercial flights.

The EFCIA, in collaboration with Eureka Medical Laboratory, will be fully equipped to carry out the sampling for the PCR COVID-19 tests for passengers arriving at the Airport when it opens.
