The Ministry of Health on Wednesday recorded 24 new COVID-19 cases after conducting 93 tests.
The new cases push the overall total to 3,589 including 16 persons in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
One new case each was recorded in Regions One, Three and Six. There were seven new cases in Region Four, two in Region Seven, ten in Region Eight and two in Region Ten.
According to the Ministry’s daily dashboard, there are 80 persons in institutional isolation and 900 persons in home isolation.
The number of recoveries so far is 2,487 while there were 106 deaths.
There are 42 persons in quarantine.
In Guyana, a total of 16,308 persons were tested for COVID-19 thus far.
