A total of 54 new COVID-19 cases were recorded on Wednesday after 226 tests. This brings the total number of cases to 3, 850.
The Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 dashboard revealed that there are 16 patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit, 64 in institutional isolation and 815 in home isolation. An additional 36 persons who came into contact with a positive patient are in institutional quarantine.
The Ministry earlier on Wednesday reported two additional COVID-19 deaths pushing the overall total to 116. So far, 2, 839 persons have recovered.
The new cases were reported in Region One (five cases), Region Two (three cases), Region Four (31 case); Regions Seven, Eight, Nine and Ten each recorded two new cases.
