30 new COVID-19 cases recorded; 25 in Region Four


The Ministry of Health on Monday recorded 30 new COVID-19 cases. Of these, 25 were recorded in Region Four (Demerara-Mahaica). The total number of cases is now at 4,238.

The other new cases were recorded as follows: one was recorded in Region Three; two in Region Five; and two in Region Six.

There are currently nine persons in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 66 persons in institutional isolation and 771 persons on home isolation.

The Ministry reported that there have been 3,264 recoveries so far with 128 deaths.

There are 23 persons in institutional quarantine.

So far, 20, 067 persons were tested for COVID-19.
