A Diamond, East Bank Demerara man has died after reportedly losing control of his motorcycle around midnight Sunday.
Dead is Joshua Persaud, 24.
At the time of the accident, Persaud was riding his motorcycle with Devendra Partab, 27, at the back along the Little Diamond public road.
Police said Persaud was speeding and lost control; both men fell onto the road surface and received injuries about their bodies.
They were picked up in an unconscious state by a party of Police and taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital, Accident and Emergency Unit where Persaud was pronounced dead.
Partab is currently at the said hospital receiving treatment.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
