Police are investigating the murder Sunday of a 20-year-old labourer.
According to a statement from the Guyana Police Force, Keron Williams of Meten- Meer- Zorg, Ocean Garden, West Coast Demerara was drinking alcohol in the area with a man called ‘Grasie’ at about 4:45 p.m.
About 30 minutes later, Williams was found with injuries to his left shoulder and ‘Grasie’ was nowhere to be found.
Williams was taken to the Leonora Cottage Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries at about 17:20hr.
Police said persons were questioned in relation to the incident, but no useful information was garnered.
A search is on for the suspect as investigations continue.
