A Brazilian national, identified only as “Peu”, lost his life on Wednesday after he was crushed to death by a tractor which topped on a hill in Central Baramita Village, North West District.
Police Headquarters in a statement noted that the tractor was being driven by a 42-year-old Brazilian national, who alleged that he dropped into a pothole while ascending a hill at around 17:30h, which caused him to lose control.
The driver alleged that tractor toppled and “Peu” fell off during which the tractor rolled down the hill and crushed his head.
The victim was taken to the Baramita Health Centre, where he was pronounced dead on arrival by the medic on duty.
