The Ministry of Health’s Mobile Testing Unit will be stationed at the Grove Health Centre, East Bank Demerara to conduct screening for COVID-19 on Saturday, November 7 and Sunday, November 8 starting from 9:00 am on both days.
The testing is open to all regardless of whether or not they are showing COVID-19 symptoms. COVID-19 affects different people in different ways.
Most infected people will develop mild to moderate illness, while some can develop serious symptoms resulting in hospitalisation.
The most common symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, dry cough and tiredness, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, chest pain or pressure and loss of speech or movement.
Persons are reminded to wear a mask and ensure they pay heed to the COVID-19 physical distancing guidelines.
