A prominent business located on Regent Street, Georgetown is currently on fire.
The News Room understands that the fire started sometime after 20:00hrs on Sunday.
The Guyana Fire Service is currently trying to contain the blaze as owners of nearby businesses watched with bated breaths.
The building is also located in close proximity to a gas station on Regent Street. As such, the police have cordoned off the area and are trying to keep persons away from the scene.
