President Ali congratulates Biden on elections win

President Irfaan Ali has officially congratulated President-elect of the United States of America, Joe Biden.

In a letter dated November 7, President extended congratulations on behalf of himself and Government.

“As you prepare to assume the Presidency please accept my best wishes for a successful term in office and for your continued good health and well-being.”

President Ali said he looks forward to continued partnership between the two states.

“I look forward to working closely with you to confront critical strategic matters of interest to the international community including the COVID-19 pandemic. Further, Guyana looks forward to consolidating and strengthening our bilateral ties with the United States of America in the ensuing years,” the President stated.

Biden defeated incumbent Donald Trump in the 2020 elections to become the 46th US President. Serving beside him will be the first female Vice President Kamala Harris.

    Thank you HE for not threatening to brief the President elect or tell him how to operate after the elections. The leader of the Opposite Position already took care of that.
