Guyanese youth cricketers Ronaldo Alimohamed and Raymond Perez have signed a sponsored kit deal with the England-based Williamson Boucher Cricket.
The partnership allows for both players to receive cricket gear and be able to get contracts in the various leagues worldwide.
Both players have represented the West Indies at the Under-19 level, while all-rounder Alimohamed went one step further, playing two List A matches for Guyana Jaguars last November.
The 22-year-old Alimohamed indicated: “It’s a great feeling for me to be a part of Williamson Boucher; it’s a great help for me going forward and being able to be drafted in different leagues and to play much more cricket and make me an even better player and improve in my game.”
Perez, a stylish opening batsman, said he is looking to force his way into the senior Guyana Jaguars team and sees this new deal as the perfect opportunity to possibly gain more exposure.
“Well once I perform I know they’ll expose me more into other tournaments and you never know, one day it’ll be great to go England and play cricket for a season or so.”
Both players are members of the Cricket Guyana Inc. Academy progamme.
