The Ministry of Health on Friday recorded 62 new COVID-19 cases from 445 tests, taking Guyana’s overall known cases to 4, 724.
The new cases were recorded in Region Four with 30 new cases, Region One recorded 16 new cases, Region Three recorded seven new cases, Region Five one new case, Region Eight six new cases and Region Ten two new cases.
There are 11 patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 45 patients are in institutional isolation and 840 are in home isolation. An additional 43 persons who came into contact with positive patients are in institutional quarantine.
To date, 138 persons have died and 3, 688 have recovered. The number of tests done so far is 23, 997.
