The Ministry of Health on Wednesday recorded 24 new COVID-19 cases taking the overall total to 4,914.
The new cases were recorded as follows: eight in Region Four, one in Region Six, one in Region Seven and 14 in Region Eight.
There are currently eight persons in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 105 persons on institutional isolation and 697 persons on home isolation.
According to the Ministry’s daily COVID-19 dashboard, 32 additional persons have recovered from the disease taking the total recoveries to 3,962.
There are 53 persons in institutional quarantine awaiting their test results.
The deaths on Wednesday jumped to 142.
