A 60-year-old woman from Region Four (Demerara-Mahaica) has been recorded as Guyana’s 143rd COVID-19 death.
Dead is Patricia Cummings of Golden Grove, East Bank Demerara (EBD).
The Ministry of Health revealed that she died on November 18; she was diabetic and hypertensive. The News Room was informed that Cummings died in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit of the Georgetown Public Hospital.
She is the 17th person to die from the disease for the month thus far.
The Ministry said officials have contacted all relatives and persons to facilitate contact tracing and rapid assistance to everyone who may have been exposed to the now-deceased person.
