Teen girl, boyfriend arrested after drugs found in Sophia house

Ranks of the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) have arrested a 19-year-old mother and her partner, 33-year-old, Nyron Wilson after they found suspected amphetamines and methamphetamines (known as meth) in both powdered and pill form, along with a small quantity of suspected marijuana.
The illegal substances were found at the couple’s ‘C’ Field Sophia, Greater Georgetown house during a raid on Friday.
The CANU in a press release said the young mother had her baby at the time of the arrest and was allowed to place the child in the care of another individual.
According to CANU, ranks found the drugs in a bedroom of the house.
The couple remain in custody and is assisting with the investigation.
