    Opener Kraigg Brathwaite made a marathon 246 as West Indies piled up 571 on day two of their Four-day warm-up game against New Zealand A at the John Davies Oval in Queenstown.

    Resuming on 353-3, West Indies batted deep into the second day with Brathwaite’s knock spanning 400 balls and including 17 fours and a six.

    Jermaine Blackwood, not out on 19 overnight, made 53 off 82 balls, Shane Dowrich scored 23, Jason Holder 24, Raymon Reifer 46 and Alzarri Joseph 22.

    On day one, Darren Bravo followed up his 135 in the three-day, warm-up contest a week ago, with 93, while John Campbell made 45 in a partnership of 111 with Brathwaite for the first wicket.

    Shamarh Brooks (5) and Rakheem Cornwall (0) were the other batsmen to be dismissed. Bowling for New Zealand A, Cole McConchie took 3-130, Michael Rae 2-100 and Rachin Ravindra 2-102.

    In reply, New Zealand A closed on 45 without loss with Ravindra on 22 and Henry Cooper on 19.

    West Indies are preparing to face New Zealand in two Test matches, starting December 3 and 11.
