The Ministry of Health on Saturday said 28 new positive COVID-19 cases were recorded from 367 tests, taking Guyana’s overall known cases to 5, 338.
The new cases were recorded in Region One with one new case while Region Three recorded another single positive case. Region Four recorded seven cases; Region Seven recorded five new cases, and Region Ten recorded 14 new cases.
There are three patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 87 patients are in institutional isolation and 782 are in home isolation. An additional 41 persons, who came into contact with positive patients, are in institutional quarantine.
To date, 149 persons have died and 4, 317 have recovered. The number of tests done so far is 29, 521.
