Matadeen and his colleagues were in the process of collecting items to load the truck when the incident occurred.

According to Ravindra Hardyal, who is a salesman of the Sunshine Supermarket, he was overlooking the process when he noticed two masked men on a motorcycle approached the truck.

One of the men, who was armed with the gun, grabbed Matadeen and pulled him towards the back of the truck, while the other, who was armed with a knife, attacked him.

“I fight him off and run to the side and then the other one come around and fired two shots,” Hardyal related.

As a result, one of the bullets struck Matadeen while the other grazed Hardyal on the left side jaw.

The men jumped on the motorcycle and quickly made their escape empty handed.
