Armed bandits Sunday night invaded the #71 Village, Corentyne home of former murder accused, Marcus Bisram.

According to reports, the men carted off with millions in cash from the premises.

The News Room was reliably informed that the incident occurred after 20:00h and Bisram was reportedly home at the time.

The News Room understands that while no one was seriously injured, one person was beaten with a cutlass.

Police are currently at the house carrying out their investigations.

Bisram was freed twice after being imprisoned on allegations that between October 31 and November 1, 2016, he coerced, procured and demanded five men to murder carpenter, Faiyaz Narinedatt.

Bisram, a U.S citizen, was freed on March 30, 2020, after Magistrate Renita Singh at the Whim Magistrate’s Court found the State did not have sufficient evidence against him.

However, just hours later, Bisram was re-arrested as the DPP ordered the Magistrate to re-open the case on the grounds that there is enough evidence for him to stand a High Court trial.
That decision was challenged and Bisram was allowed to go free again.
