The Ministry of Health on Wednesday recorded 26 new COVID-19 cases from 259 tests, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 5, 449.
Region Ten recorded 15 new cases as health authorities are monitoring a spike in cases within the region within the last few days. The other positive case were recorded in Regions One, Two and Nine with one case each; Region Three recorded two new cases while Region Four recorded six new cases.
According to the Ministry’s dashboard, 94 more persons recovered, taking the overall number of recoveries to 4, 530. There are 726 patients in home isolation, 39 in institutional isolation and three patients are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
An additional 35 persons, who came into contact with positive patients, are in institutional quarantine. To date, 151 persons have died.
