Three new COVID-19 cases, 91 new recoveries recorded

The Ministry of Health on Tuesday recorded three new COVID-19 cases from 176 tests, taking Guyana’s overall number of confirmed cases to 5, 700.
Regions One, Four and Seven recorded one new case each.
According to the Ministry’s daily dashboard, a total of 91 recoveries were also recorded taking the total number of recoveries to 4, 870.
There are 638 patients in home isolation, 34 in institutional isolation and four patients are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the Infectious Disease Hospital, Liliendaal, East Coast Demerara.
An additional 39 persons, who came into contact with positive patients, are in institutional quarantine.
To date, 154 persons have died from the dreaded disease.
