Leaked secret document reveals surveillance of top security official in fmr. Gov’t

Leaked secret documents, seen by the News Room, show that special orders were given on April 22, 2020, during the troubled general elections period, for the legal interception of a phone number, known to be that of a top official in the former A Partnership of Nation Unity + Alliance For Change (APNU+AFC) government.
The request was done under the Interception of Communications Act, Chapter 47:03 (Act of 2008). The document further went on to state that the individual is possibly involved in armed robberies, trafficking in narcotics and purchasing of firearms and ammunition without holding a license.
The document confirmed activities by other means of legal intercepts but more invasive techniques needed to be engaged.
