Police have arrested a 29-year-old labourer of Triumph, East Coast Demerara in connection with the murder of a 50-year-old man of Agriculture Road, Triumph.
Police said Christopher Findlay was found dead in his home with injuries to his left eye, face and elbow after he had a misunderstanding with a friend.
Police Headquarters reported that Findlay was killed sometime between 08:00h and 12:00h on Friday.
According to reports, Findlay was last seen alive by a neighbour at about 08:00h on Friday.
Police said the neighbour went to check on Findlay after he was not seen or heard from and found him lying motionless.
He was taken to the Beterverwagting Health Centre where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Police investigations are ongoing.
