Another COVID-19 death, 41 new cases recorded

The Ministry of Health reported on Sunday that a 79-year-old man from Region Four is the country’s latest COVID-19. The latest fatality takes the death toll to 155 and also means this is the fourth person to die for the month.

The Ministry revealed the man died while receiving medical care at a facility.

Meanwhile, a total of 41 new COVID-19 cases were recorded from 242 tests, taking the overall number of confirmed cases to 5, 920.

Twenty-two of the new cases were recorded in Region Ten, while Region One recorded four new cases, Region Two six new cases, Region Three recorded five new cases and Regions Four, Six and Seven each recorded one new case.

There are six patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the Infectious Disease Hospital, 50 patients in institutional isolation and 636 in home isolation.

To date, 5, 073 persons have recovered.
