Briton John followed up his success in Linden with another dominant ride, winning the Berbice leg of the Time Trial Series on Sunday.

Competing from Benjamin Sports and Fitness Centre at Fyrish to the Guyoil Gas Station at Palmyra, John clocked the fastest time for the second weekend in a row.

He had also clocked the fastest time in Linden after the experienced Marlon ‘Fishy’ Williams won the first leg in Georgetown in November.

In Berbice, John was timed at 18 minutes, 26 seconds, followed by Williams (18:37s) and Jamual John (18:43s). Stephen Fernandes returned the best time by a Veteran rider, clocking 19 minutes, 06 seconds, followed by Alex Mendes (19:36s) and Segun Hubbard (19:39s).

Alex Leung was the top junior rider with a time of 20:02s, while the lone female rider Atiya Thompson clocked 39:36s.

At the conclusion of the three legs, Briton John emerged overall champion with a time of 1:02.42s, followed by Jamual John, Marlon Williams, Marcus Keiler and Balram Narine in that order. The top five Veterans were Alex Mendes, Segun Hubbard, Kwame Ridley, Lear Nunes and Jaikarran Sukhai.
