Couple killed in Linden/Soesdyke Highway accident

A husband and wife were Tuesday night killed in an accident on the Linden/Soesdyke Highway when their motorcar reportedly swerved into the path of a truck.

The dead man has only been identified as ‘Cornelius’; efforts are being made to confirm the identity of his wife.  The accident occurred at about 20:00h and the News Room understands that the couple were reportedly killed on impact.

In a live video shared on Facebook, several persons were observed at the scene of the accident where the bodies were lying on the road covered in sheets.
