    Guyanese trio Trevon Griffith, Ashmead Nedd and Devendra Bishoo combined to give 22 Yards their first win of the US Open T20 tournament on Wednesday at the Central Broward Regional Park.

    They defeated Afghan Zwanan by seven wickets after their opening day loss to Atlanta Paramveers by six wickets.

    Afghan Zwanan batted first and posted 102 all out in 19.4 overs with opener Cody Chetty being the only player to get into double-figures with 51 off 58 (3x4s, 2x6s).

    Guyana Amazon Warriors’ US 2020 signing, Jasdeep Singh, was the pick of the bowlers with 3-16, while Bishoo and Nedd were miserly in their four-over spells, returning figures of 2-16 and 2-26 respectively. Asad Ali also picked up 2-25.

    In reply, 22 Yards coasted to victory at 103-3 with as many as six overs to spare, with the left-hander Griffith, a former Guyana senior opener, batting to the end on 50* off 38 (4x4s, 2x6s).

    Guyanese Ronsford Beaton and Zakiuallah Sultani had 1-19 apiece.

    In the other games on day two, Brampton Pacers remained unbeaten with a four-run win over Atlanta Paramveers and US All Stars inflicted a nine-wicket defeat on Punjab Blues.

    Brampton Pacers defeated Atlanta Paramveers by four runs. Brampton Pacers 157-8 from 20 overs (Williams Perkins 73, Mark Deyal 62, Damian Ebanks 5-13, Akeal Hosein 2-34) vs Atlanta Paramveers 153 all out in 19.5 overs (Rayad Emrit 41, Akeal Hosein 41, Chris Gayle 17, Leonardo Julien 4-23, Junaid Siddiqui 3-19)

    US All Stars defeated Punjab Blues by nine wickets. Punjab Blues 115-7 from 20 overs (Gurinder Saini 49, Aditya Joshi 22*, Rajesh Sharma 4-23) vs US All Stars 116-1 from 11.3 overs (Zeeshan Ashraf 73*, Zishawn Qureshi 21)

    Three games are also slated for Thursday:

    11:00h- Punjab Blues vs Samp Army

    14:30h- Somerset Cavaliers vs US All Stars

    18:00h- 22 Yards vs Brampton Pacers
