Guyana on Saturday recorded 20 new cases of COVID-19 from 162 tests, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 6, 125.
Eight new cases were recorded in Region Four, five new cases in Region Nine and four new cases in Region 10. Regions One, Seven and Eight recorded one case each. Regions Two, Three and Six, recorded no new cases.
To date, 159 persons have died and 5, 319 have recovered. This means there are 806 active cases countrywide. There are seven patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Infectious Disease Hospital, 36 in institutional isolation and 604 in home isolation.
