The Ministry of Health on Wednesday recorded 42 new COVID-19 cases from 364 tests, taking the overall number of confirmed cases to 6, 258.
The new cases were recorded in Region Four with 11 new cases, Region Five recorded 16 new cases, Region Eight recorded two new cases and Region Ten recorded 13 new cases.
There are 616 patients in home isolation, 28 in institutional isolation and four patients are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the Infectious Disease Hospital.
An additional 16 persons who came into contact with positive patients are in institutional quarantine.
To date, 162 persons have died and 5, 448 have recovered.
