34-year-old critical following Berbice accident

A 34-year-old Welder of Mc Rae Street Rosignol Village, West Coast Berbice (WCB) is in a critical state at the New Amsterdam Public Hospital following an accident on Friday.

Police said Sunil Seeram was speeding in his motorcar #PXX4540 on the #10 Public Road at around 13:00hr on Christmas Day when he lost control of the car as he was negotiating a turn.

The vehicle ended up on the northern side of the road about one hundred feet off the roadway in a large clump of bushes before coming to a halt.

Seeram was removed in an unconscious state and taken to the Fort Wellington Public Hospital where he was examined and treated by a doctor on duty who transferred him to New Amsterdam Public Hospital

His condition is regarded as critical.

An investigation is ongoing.
