Former President, Leader of the People’s National Congress, Brigadier (ret’d) David Granger, recently collected the government’s $25,000 cash grant and today his party announced that he donated the money to five villagers from the Mocha-Arcadia Neighbourhood, East Bank Demerara.
The PNC said Granger lamented the distress caused by the daily rising number of deaths from the Covid-19 Pandemic.
“I think this is a laudable initiative,” Granger stated as he collected the grant.
“I am sure, although it is not much, will help to provide some relief at this time of the year.”
