Long-standing supporter of the Kashif and Shanghai Organisation, Mohamed’s Enterprise, has thrown its support behind the Bounce Back Football tournament, set to kick off on Tuesday evening at the National Stadium, Providence.

Managing Director of the company, Nazar Mohamed, on Tuesday said he is “certainly happy to see the sport is back.”

The Bounce Back tournament is the first bit on competitive action in nine months, owing to the restrictions brought on by COVID-19.

“I am happy that the Minister of Sport, the GFF and the Kashif and Shanghai Organisation have taken this initiative and I am happy to be a part of this competition,” Mohamed said.

The businessman reflected on his sponsorship of sport events, dating back to over three decades, noting that sport is a unifying tool.

On Tuesday (December 29, 2020), the action will kick off at 17:00h with Linden All Stars playing East Coast All Stars, followed by Georgetown All Stars battling West Side All Stars three hours later.

The two winning teams will clash in the final on January 1, 2021.

Because of the COVID-19 restrictions, the tournament would be played behind closed doors, while the final would be carried live on NCN Channel 11, E-Networks and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport’s Facebook page.

Notably, all players had to undergo a COVID-19 test and produce a negative result to participate in the tournament.
