A 35-year-old security guard of Plum Park, Sophia, Georgetown was beaten and robbed by two unidentifiable men on Monday at about 20:30 hrs while on her way to work.
Police in a statement revealed that Annila Harriprashad was robbed of her cellphone valued $30,000 and $700 cash.
According to reports, Harriprashad was on her way to work when the two suspects one of whom was armed with a cutlass, approached her, dealt her a lash to the back while the other suspect relieved her of the phone and cash.
The men then made good their escape.
