Another COVID-19 death, 29 new cases recorded

The Ministry of Health on Wednesday reported the country’s 167th COVID-19 related death. The patient, an 85-year-old man from Region Ten, died while receiving medical care at a facility on Tuesday. He is now the third person to have died for 2021.

Meanwhile, a total of 29 new cases were recorded from 241 tests, taking the overall number of confirmed cases to 6, 436.

Region One recorded nine new cases, Region Three recorded two new cases, Region Four recorded seven new cases, Region Five recorded five new cases, and Region Seven recorded three new cases.

There are 262 patients in home isolation, 20 in institutional isolation and four patients are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the Infectious Disease Hospital. Total recoveries to date is, 5, 983.
