A Guyana Defence Force (GDF) Acting Corporal, Dominique Gonsalves Sabola of the Medical Corps safely delivered a healthy baby boy at Tshau Creek, Kaikan, in Region Seven early on Monday.
GDF in a statement revealed that the baby was born at 05:46h. The mother, 35-year-old Yancelis Diaz and the child are healthy and doing well.
Corporal Sabola is a Grade II Medical Assistant enlisted in the army in April, 2013 and is now one of the Force’s frontline medical personnel serving in the interior of Guyana.
GDF said congratulations are extended to Corporal Sabola and Ms Diaz, from the Chief of Staff and the officers and ranks of the Guyana Defence Force.
