Guyana records 170th COVID-19 death

The Ministry of Health reported on Monday that another person who tested positive for COVID-19 died on Sunday. The latest fatality is a 65-year-old man from Region Four who died while receiving medical care at a facility. This takes the total number of deaths to 170 and there have been six COVID-19 deaths recorded for the year, thus far.

At the weekend two additional deaths were also recorded; the patients were a 39-year-old man from Region Seven and 59-year-old People’s Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C) stalwart, Majeed Hussain, who died on Saturday morning from COVID-19 complications.

All Guyanese are reminded to observe the protocols of the COVID-19 EMERGENCY MEASURES (NO.12), which are in effect until January 31, 2021.
