60 new COVID-19 cases

A total of 60 new COVID-19 cases were recorded on Friday from 361 tests, taking Guyana’s overall number of confirmed cases to 6, 805.

Twenty-eight new cases were recorded in Region Four while Region Six recorded nine new cases; Region One recorded three new cases, Regions Two, Three and Eight recorded six new cases while Regions Five and Nine each recorded one new case.

To date, 6, 083 persons have recovered and 170 have died.

There are 493 patients in home isolation, 55 patients are in institutional isolation and four patients are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the Infectious Disease Hospital.
