Police are investigating an incident where 38-year-old Mosai Edwards of Ugandi Street Enterprise, East Coast Demerara (ECD) was shot in both legs by two men.
Regional Commander, Senior Superintendent Mahendra Siwnarine, told the News Room that the shooting occurred at a private property at Well Road Ogle, ECD at about 23:30h on Sunday.
Edwards works as a security guard and a construction worker.
The Commander revealed that the details surrounding the shooting remain sketchy as Edwards was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he underwent surgery and is said to be in a stable condition.
Up to noon Monday, the Commander said investigators were not able to question Edwards.
