27-Y-0 man dies in Mc Doom accident

A 27-year-old Hill Foot, Soesdyke/Linden Highway resident is now dead after he lost control of the motorcycle he was riding along the Mc Doom Public Road, East Bank Demerara, and crashed into an articulated vehicle.

Dead is Steven Armstrong; Police Headquarters reported that the accident occurred at about 17:30h on Wednesday.

According to reports, Armstrong was proceeding north on the Mc Doom Public Road when he lost control and collided with an articulated vehicle, which then crashed into a minibus. No one from the vehicle or minibus received any injuries but Armstrong fell on to the roadway and received injuries to the head and body.

Police said he was picked up in a semi-conscious state and rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital by public-spirited citizens. He died at about 19:45h while receiving treatment.
