52 new COVID-19 cases

Guyana’s positive COVID-19 cases continue to see a steady increase with 52 new cases recorded on Thursday.
These new cases take Guyana’s overall number of confirmed cases to 7, 067. Regions Two and Eight recorded no new cases, however, Region Four accounted for more than half of the new cases with a total of 29 new cases.
Regions One, Five, Seven and Nine all recorded two cases each while Regions Three and Ten recorded seven cases each.
Region Six saw one new case. To date, a total of 6, 277 persons have recovered and 170 have died.
There are 580 patients in home isolation, 19 patients are in institutional isolation and six patients are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the Infectious Disease Hospital.
