Hope brothers to miss Super50 after positive COVID-19 tests
The Hope brothers- Kyle and Shai- have tested positive for the coronavirus and will miss the upcoming Super50, the Barbados Cricket Association said in a press statement on Tuesday.
They were both named in the Barbados Pride 15-man squad.
“Following the results of the first completed COVD-19 tests, Kyle and Shai Hope returned positive results and will be placed in isolation in accordance with Government of Barbados’ protocols. Top order batsman Zachary McCaskie and wicketkeeper batsman Tevyn Walcott have been named to replace the Hope brothers and are both scheduled to immediately undergo the required testing and protocols,” the Barbados Cricket Association said.
The Barbados Pride squad will leave for Antigua on January 31.
The squad reads: Jason Holder (Captain), Joshua Bishop, Shamarh Brooks, Jonathan Carter, Roston Chase, Dominic Drakes, Jonathan Drakes, Justin Greaves, Keon Harding, Chemar Holder, Akeem Jordan, Nicholas Kirton, Zachary McCaskie, Ashley Nurse and Tevyn Walcott.
