Linden man to spend two weeks in jail for breaching COVID-19 measures

A Linden, Region 10 resident will spend the next two weeks in prison for breaching the restriction on social activities as stipulated in the COVID-19 Emergency Measures.

Clive Nobrega of Blueberry Hill, Wismar, Linden was arrested on January 24, 2021, and appeared at the Linden Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Wanda Fortune on Wednesday to answer to the charge.

He pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of $30,000.

According to a statement from Police Headquarters, Nobrega made a second appearance on Wednesday before the same Magistrate where he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to two weeks imprisonment.
