Taxi driver shot dead
Dead: Osafo Pollard
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the murder of 29-year-old Osafo Pollard, a taxi driver, who was shot in the head on Tuesday night.
Pollard was shot once to the head at about 22:30h while at North East La Penitence in Georgetown. He died while receiving treatment at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
Regional Commander, Senior Superintendent Khali Pareshram told the News Room that details surrounding the incident remain sketchy.
The Commander said several persons in the area were questioned but information has not been forthcoming.
