Police seeks identity of man killed in accident
The Guyana Police Force is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a male pedestrian who was killed in an accident on Saturday last in the vicinity of the Russian Embassy on the Rupert Craig Highway.
The dead man is of Indian descent and appears to be in his late 40s.
The accident occurred at about 18:40h.
Police said that based on reports, a motor cycle which was proceeding west along the highway collided with the pedestrian as he was attempting to cross the road.
Following the collision, both the rider and the unidentified man were picked up in an unconscious state and rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital.
The unidentified man died while receiving treatment.
