A total of 18 new COVID-19 cases were recorded on Tuesday from 316 tests, taking Guyana’s overall number of confirmed cases to 8,041.
Region Four recorded ten new cases with Regions Six and Five recording five and two cases, respectively. Region Three recorded one new case with no new cases recorded in any of the other regions.
To date, 7,026 persons have recovered and 181 have died.
There are 818 patients in home isolation, 39 patients are in institutional isolation and seven patients are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the Infectious Disease Hospital.
