51 new COVID-19 cases, 98 new recoveries

A total of 51 new COVID-19 cases were recorded on Wednesday from 407 tests, taking Guyana’s overall number of confirmed cases to 8,092.
Region Four recorded 38 new cases with Regions Three and Nine recording two cases each. Region Seven recorded three new cases, Region Eight one and Region Ten five with no new cases recorded in any of the other regions.
To date, 7,124 persons have recovered and 182 have died.
There are 749 patients in home isolation, 29 patients are in institutional isolation and eight patients are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the Infectious Diseases Hospital.
