Evin Lewis cracked his sixth List A hundred and received solid support from the middle-order as Trinidad and Tobago Red Forde defeated Jamaica Scorpions by five wickets in Match Four of the CG Insurance Super50 Cup on Thursday.

Chasing 259 at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua, Red Force reached the target with 55 balls remaining, with Lewis making 107 off 92 balls with seven sixes and eight fours.

Nicholas Pooran made 43

After the early loss of Lendl Simmons without scoring, Lewis and Jason Mohammed added a century partnership to put Red Force back on track, effectively blunting the Scorpions bowlers.

Following the dismissal of Lewis at 161-3 in the 25th over, Darren Bravo closed out the contest with a run-a-ball unbeaten 59 (2x4s, 5x6s), while Nicholas Pooran made 43 off 39 (6x4s) and Mohammed 28 off 38 (4x4s).

Bowling for Scorpions, Andre McCarthy took 2-30 and Dennis Bulli 2-84.

Earlier, West Indies limited-over batsman Brandon King missed out on a maiden List A hundred, falling for 97, in Jamaica Scorpions’ 258-6.
