35 of 46 new COVID cases recorded in Reg. 4
Guyana on Friday recorded 46 new COVID-19 cases of which 35 were recorded in Region Four (Demerara-Mahaica).
The new cases were recorded from 503 tests taking the overall number of known cases to 8,181. The other cases were recorded in Region Ten with two new cases; Regions Two, Six and Eight each recorded one new case while Regions Three and Seven recorded three new cases each.
The Ministry of Health on Friday recorded two additional COVID-19 deaths taking the death toll to 186. To date 7, 281 persons have recovered.
There are 666 patients in home isolation, 41 patients are in institutional isolation and seven patients are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the Infectious Diseases Hospital.
