25 new COVID cases from 1,045 tests

The Ministry of Health on Thursday recorded 25 new COVID-19 cases from 1, 045 tests, taking the overall number of known cases to 8, 338 since Guyana recorded its first case in March 2020.

Twenty of the new cases were recorded in Region Four while Region One recorded two new cases and Region Three recorded three new cases.

To date, 7,629 persons have recovered and 189 have died.  There are 468 patients in home isolation, 45 patients are in institutional isolation and seven patients are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the Infectious Diseases Hospital.
