Wife stabs husband after he threatened to kill her at knifepoint

A heated argument over her whereabouts for an entire day led a 29-year-old car driver of Wismar, Linden to place a knife at the neck of his reputed wife as he threatened to kill her.

In response, the 32-year-old woman, who is employed as a supervisor at Church’s Chicken, Linden Branch, stabbed the man and punctured his lung; the man then armed himself with a cutlass and beat her during which she received a chop wound to the right index finger.

The incident occurred at around 21:00h on Wednesday. They were both taken to the Linden Hospital Complex where the female was treated and discharged, after which she was arrested by the police.

Her spouse was transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital to undergo surgery. The cutlass and knife were retrieved by the police.
